Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on Nagorno-Karabakh of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and a Deputy from Great Britain, Lord Russell Johnston, will visit the region in the beginning of October, the Chairman reported in Strasburg on 27 June during the meeting with Azerbaijani human rights activists and the President of the "In the Name of Azerbaijan' public forum, politician Eldar Namazov.
Namazov reported on 27 June from Strasburg, that the preparation for Johnston's visit is under way and the route of the visit was being defined. Along with Azerbaijan and Armenia, Johnston is also expected to visit Nagorno-Karabakh.
The summer PACE session began on 25 June and will conclude on 29 June. The Azerbaijani delegation, as well as human rights activists Arzu Abdullayeva, Novella Jafaroglu, Saida Gojamanly, Saadat Bananyarly, Eldar Zeynalov, Zarifa Zeynalova, and politician Eldar Namazov, are in attendance.
