Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Asim Mollazadeh, the Chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan, met with Elizabeth Dugan, the Vice-President of the International Republicans Institute (IRI) on 2 July.
The socio-political situation in Azerbaijan and Democratic Reforms Party and IRI joint programs were discussed at the meeting. The parties also touched upon democratic reforms in the country. The importance of extending co-operation of the parties with IRI and the implementation of joint programs was considered. Attending the meeting were Dallas Frokhrib, the IRI's Director on Azerbaijan, Jack Johns and Tabib Huseynov, the heads of program on Azerbaijan.
Asim Mollazadeh received Aida Suyunduyev and Eshli Moran, the Program Managers of the US's National Democratic Institute. The key issues for discussion at the meeting were joint projects within the framework of which NDI (National Democratic Institute) and Democratic Reforms Party co-operated. The decision to continue the NDI and Democratic Reforms Party projects was made.
