Ruling New Azerbaijan Party Sends Letter of Protest to Russian News Agency
Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) sent a letter of protest to Russia's Regnum news agency. The agency website contains a special headline about the Nagorno-Karabakh. The letters states that the information of the agency at an international level should be accurate, objective and fair.
The letter says that the information on the agency's website regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh headline about the so-called 'presidential elections' in Azerbaijan's occupied Nagorno-Karabakh territory shows inconsistency of the position of the agency.
The so-called 'presidential elections' in Azerbaijan's territories occupied by Armenia have been unanimously condemned by leading international organizations like UNO, OSCE, Council of Europe, Organization of the Islamic Conference and several countries of the world.
The NAP condemns the action of Russia's Regnum news agency. NAP assesses this step as contrary to the Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership. The activity of the agency which takes a pro-Armenian position is contrary to international norms of information exchange.
