Azerbaijan President’s Official Two-Day Visit to Kazakhstan has Commenced

Kazakhstan, Astana / corr. Trend K.Konirova / On 7 August the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, arrived in Kazakhstan on a two-day official visit.

The Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed Trend that today's talks would take place at the Presidential Palace Ak-Orda between President Ilham Aliyev and President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on a one-to-one basis and later together with the participation of the Governmental delegation.

As a result of the talks a number of documents are expected to be signed, including a political declaration between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and an agreement on co-operation of two leading TV channels of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The addition, a joint briefing of the State Heads is expected to take place. According to the itinerary, on 8 August the President of Azerbaijan will meet with the Speaker of the Senate Kasim-Tomart-Tokayev and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov. In addition, Ilham Aliyev will visit Genplan of Astana JSC to become familiar with the development prospects of Kazakhstan's capital. Furthermore, the President will visit the so-called Pyramid - Palace of Peace and Solidarity. According to the tradition, Aliyev will plant a tree at Permanent Fire.

Aliyev will return to Azerbaijan in the latter part of the day.
