Armenia to Free Azerbaijani Prisoner
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / Armenia is to free Azerbaijani prisoner, Ashraf Jafarov, 22, a resident from the Uchoglan village of Agdam region of Azerbaijan, due to his state of health, the Armenian informative agency Mediamax reported on 18 September.
The State Commission for War Captive and Missing Persons and representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross did not provide any information.
Jafarov was arrested in the Agdam region on 3 June. Jafarov's relative said that he suffered from a mental disorder. Jafarov lost his parents in 20 January 1990 and together with his two sisters and four brothers has been living with his uncle since 1992.
Currently, Samir Mammadov, a soldier with the Azerbaijani National Armed Forces, and citizen Anar Aliyev, are held in the Armenian prison.
