Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / Documents will be received this year for attorney vacancies, the Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's Bar, Farhad Najafov, reported to Trend on 25 September.
According to him, 234 lawyers, who passed exams, will be admitted to the Bar on 1 October. First of all, the Bar will admit those lawyers who will work in the regions. Najafov said their number reaches ninety.
The new lawyers will proceed with their activities after swearing in at the Presidium of Bar. After that, the Bar will begin receiving documents again.
Some 299 candidates of 441 who applied passed their exams scoring 50 or more points. They passed to the second round. Some 241of the applicants were recommended to the Bar.
Seven of the candidates were recently admitted to the Bar. They proceeded with their activities in Nakhchivan.
The Bar includes 541 members. After admission of the new candidates the number will make up 800. Azerbaijan takes the last place among European countries in the number of attorneys.
