Azerbaijan, Sheki / corr Trend E.Guliyev / Children in care will leave orphanages as specialists in different trades in the Azerbaijani district of Sheki, Yun Ramberg, the Ambassador of Norway to Azerbaijan, said in an opening ceremony of the Trade Training Center in Sheki.
The Norwegian embassy built the center for children in care in Sheki to train children above 18 years old, in special professions that will help them to be useful to society. The center will organize computer literacy, carpet making, English and timbering courses.
Agshin Aliyev, an official of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, who attended the ceremony, said that the Government supports such projects, which will prevent young people brought up in orphanages being attracted to extremist organizations because of financial difficulties.
Sheki is located 320km northwest of Baku.
