Turkish State Minister Call for Common Language for Turkish Countries

The TurkishMinister of State, Mahmat Aydin, calls for a common language for all the Turkish states, Aydin said during the meeting with Azerbaijani editors on 3 October, Hoshgadam Hidayatgizi, the editor-in-chief of the Uch Nogta newspaper, said to the Trend Agency.

A delegation of Azerbaijani editors held meetings with the State Minister of Turkey, Gurshad Tuzmen, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Ahmad Unal Chevikez, Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Maral Agshiner, and many other Turkish state officials.

Azerbaijani journalists held meetings with the Turkish NTV, TRT channels and other media bodies.

The common language will help nations to understand each other better. Azerbaijani and Turkish scientists should jointly work over the issue, the Turkish Minister said.

Representatives of Azerbaijani press proposed to open the Centre of Culture in Azerbaijan for popularization Turkish literature and culture during the meeting with the Turkish Minister Mahmat Aydin. The Minister approved the proposal.

Azerbaijani editors discussed establishment of the general TV channel for the Turkish countries with the deputy director general of the Turkish TRT channel.

The editors proposed to broadcast Azerbaijani films on Turkish channels.
