Heads of Turkic-Speaking Countries to Come Together in Baku(video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, Nazim Ibrahimov, briefed the media on 11 October that the eleventh Congress of Friendship and Fraternity of the Turkic-speaking countries and communities will take place in Baku at the end of November.

According to him, the Congress will bring together State Heads and senior officials of the Turkic-speaking countries. Nearly 600 people are expected to arrive in Baku to attend the event.

According to Ibrahimov, up to now, all of the ten congresses have taken place in Turkey. Initiated by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for the first time, this event will take place outside Turkey - in Azerbaijan.

"It testifies that gradually Azerbaijan transforms into a center of Turkic world," Ibrahimov said.
