Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / The number of criminal cases considered at the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan decreased during the six months of 2007. The Supreme Court reported some 1,882 criminal cases were considered within six months. Some 1,473 were considered in the collegiums on civil cases, 204 - in collegiums on economic cases, 347 - in collegiums on criminal cases, 58 - in collegiums on military cases and 13 - in Plenum.
The number of appeals and complaints submitted decreased by 12.3% compared to 2006.
The decrease of appeals on the decision of courts shows fair decisions.
