Joseph Blatter, FIFA's president and Michel Platini, UEFA's head, opened the headquarters of the AFFA.
Elkhan Mammadov, the Secretary General of the Association, said this day was historical for Azerbaijani football during the opening ceremony.
Mammadov said the high ranking guests visited Baku and laid the foundations for the building in 2004.
"FIFA and UEFA render assistance in the development of football in Azerbaijan. We implement the 'Goal and Hat-trick' program with the support of these associations, as well as there are 40 synthetic football pitches," Mammadov said.
"One of the priorities of UEFA and FIFA is to render assistance and support to associations and Azerbaijan is not an exception," Platini said. The new headquarters will promote success for the development of football in Azerbaijan, Joseph said.
