Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev, briefed the media that the cases over Azerbaijan should be attentively and objectively considered by the local courts in order to be accepted by the European Court on Human Rights.
According to him, the mechanism of punishing judges should work in Azerbaijan.
"Independency of the judges does not mean that they can act willfully and violate the regulations," Abdullayev said.
The European Court on Human Rights has made six judgments over Azerbaijan.
According to Abdullayev, on the base of the introduced mechanism, several Azerbaijani judges incurred punishment and others were not allowed to attend repeat elections.
