Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / The term of arrest of Bizim Yol newspaper's journalist, Mushvig Huseynli, charged of bribery, was prolonged for three months.
Huseynli's attorney, Vugar Khasayev, said the decision to prolong the term of the arrest was made by the Nasimi District Court of Baku City without participation of the attorney. The court did not detail arguments due to adoption of such a decision. Prolonging the term for three months can be appreciated as pressure against Huseynli.
Huseynli was detained in Gurd Gapisi restaurant during the operation held by officials of the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry on 24 July. Huseynli was charged of bribery taking.
