Azerbaijan, Shaki / Trend corr. E.Guliyev / Ten students wearing hijab were not permit to attend the studies in Zagatala branch of the University of Teachers. Tovuz Eminli, the director of the branch, sacked the students as they were wearing hijab.
The students will appeal to the Education Ministry of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova Ombudswoman and the Council of Europe.
Education ministry reported there were not limits in the Azerbaijani legislation banning wearing of hijab in society. The incident occurred in Zagatala region's University of Teachers would be investigated, the Ministry reported.
Zagatala region is located 418km north-west of Baku.
