Azerbaijan, Shaki / Trend corr. E.Guliyev / The Azerbaijani Government will reinforce Enlightenment in order to prevent the functioning of radical religious sects.
"Religious literature is published in small quantities, which causes broad distribution of foreign literature in the country," Gunduz Ismaylov, head of the Department of the State Committee on Religious Organizations, said during a training-workshop. Ismaylov said that a new printing house would be opened in Azerbaijan in the next year.
"Religious shows will be broadcast on Azerbaijani TV channels to enlighten the public," Ismaylov said.
The Azerbaijani National Security Ministry neutralized a group of Vahabists in Azerbaijan. The group was planning to commit terror acts in a range of foreign embassies in Azerbaijan.
