Parents of Kidnapped Azeri Girl Fail to Identify her Body

Azerbaijan, Khachmaz / Тrend corr A. Gafarov / The body of Naila Majidova, 14, a resident of the village of Dagbiliji in the region of Davachi, was exhumed on 27 November. Her father Zamir Majidov said to Trend that the height of the body was 1.54 metres, but his daughter was 1.35 metres.

Sisters Naila Majidova and Reyhana Majidova, 7, were kidnapped on 6 August from their village located 120km from Baku.

Police found the body of Naila in the Siyazan section of the Samur-Absheron canal, and the body of Reyhana has not yet been found. Police arrested perpetrators Tavakkul and Elnur Ismayilov, residents of Dalagah. The parents of the girl say the body is not their daughter's. They believe the girl was kidnapped and taken to Moscow.

According to Majidov, DNA samples of the body will be sent to Moscow for analysis and the results will be known in a month.
