Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend Z.Safarov / The training uniforms that the Azerbaijani National Football team has ordered for the World Championship are identical to the uniforms of the English team.
Elkhan Mammadov, the General Secretary of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), ordered the same uniform that the British footballers will play in. "We did not think that English the team had the same uniform, but this is a fact," Mammadov said.
Presently, a new design of the uniform is under development, he said. "It will combine white and blue colors. The discussions are still ongoing, although the issue has almost been decided."
The national football teams of Germany, Russia, Wales, Finland and Lichtenstein will compete against the Azerbaijani team in qualification rounds for the 2010 World Championship.
