Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / On 30 November, human rights activists Arzu Abdullayeva and Saida Gojamanli received a permission from the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry to meet with arrested Azerbaijani journalist Sakit Zahidov, Arzu Abdullayeva reported.
Zahid's wife Rena Zahidova held a press conference on 29 November, where she said that the state of her husband, who had been hungering 10 days, deteriorated. She called human rights activists to visit Zahidov.
The two human rights activists were permitted to visit the journalist on 3 December.
Sakit Zahidov, a contributor to the Azadliq newspaper, is imprisoned in the Reformatory 14 in Baku. The Court sentenced him to 3-year prison term on illegal purchase and possessing of drugs charge.
