Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 January / Trend corr. E.Huseynli / The National TV Broadcasting Council carry out a special strategy, in order to develop the cable television in Azerbaijan. "The Council commissioned channel leaderships, to increase the capacity of communication concerning the use of cable television by all the citizens," Nushirevan Maharramli, the chairman of the Council, said.
The Council issued a license for broadcasting of the ten cable channels in Azerbaijan. The functioning of some of the channels is not satisfactory. Maharramli considers that the development of cable channels is directly connected with the market economy. The Council created all conditions for the development of the channels.
"The Cable channels should themselves seriously work, in order to satisfy the demands. The channels must strengthen their capacity in this direction," Maharramli said.
The cable CaTV expanded its capacity. The TV reached success in the Yasamal, Nizami and Khatai districts of Baku. CaTV increased the technical capacity, in order to provide the broadcasting in the central districts of Baku.
According to Maharramli, the cable channels recommended monthly subscriber payment, which does not exceed AZN 10.
