Canub TV Channel to Increase its Professional Quality – Executive Director

Azerbaijan, Lankaran, 1 January / Trend corr. P.Aliyeva / The broadcasting channel in the south region of Azerbaijan have implemented projects directed towards increasing the professional quality of the company.

"Additional financial and resources were attracted, technical bases strengthened and skilled people were involved in order to increase the professional quality of the broadcasting of the channel," Eltan Idrisoglu, the Executive Director of the Canub TV, stated to Trend on 11 January.

There are 14 regional TVs in Azerbaijan. Broadcasting of the Canub TV covers the south regions of Azerbaijan: Lankaran, Astara, Jalilabad, Masalli, Lerik, Yardimli and Bilasuvar.

According to Idrisoglu, the news program of the channel will be broadcast three times a day instead of twice. There are also plans to begin broadcasting Enlightenment programs. "The present unprofessional level cannot stand up to the market's competition. Private channels have existed at the expense of the advertisement market. We will professionally work towards following the market," Idrisoglu said.

The Sahar (Morning) show will begin broadcasting on the channel with the key goal being to reach the highest level of capital channels. Special training and workshops will be held in order to increase the professional skill of the TV employees.

Under the decision of the Azerbaijani National Broadcasting Council, to broadcast films only in the Azerbaijani Language, a range of contracts have been signed with foreign dubbing studios.
