( dpa )- Hotels, museums and restaurants in New York are offering money-saving deals to visitors who come in January and February as part of a programme called NYC Open Book.
Numerous tourist attractions in New York are offering reductions from now until February 29, said the New York tourism representative in Munich.
The Brooklyn Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, for example, are offering savings on the admissione fee to pairs. One visitor pays full price and the second is free. Ticket prices also are reduced for some musicals.
In addition, 17 luxury hotels are offering a free overnight stay to people who book two consecutive nights. Other hotels are providing breakfast free of charge.
From January 28 to February 1 numerous restaurants will be participating in Restaurant Week. A three-course meal ordered on one of these weekday nights costs 35 dollars (about 24 euros).
