Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 January / Тrend corr J. Babayeva / The cost of licenses which enable television and radio broadcasting is on the agenda of the Azerbaijani National TV and Radio Council.
"The cost of national broadcasting and regional licenses should differ," the chair of the Council Nushiravan Maharramli said to journalists in Baku on 22 January.
"Since 2007 when changes were made in the Law on State Customs, the cost of a license was AZN 11,000. But there is a difference between TV and radio broadcasting. The Azerbaijani Government should tackle the problem entirely. The same cost for licenses for national and regional broadcasting is not fair," he said.
According to Maharramli, the Council is looking into the issue.
