Huseynli/ The bodies of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources exercising control over the environment have drawn up 4751 statements on infractions of the law by juridical and physical persons in 2007. 846 instructions have been given to eliminate the errors found during the accounting period. 112 cases have been sent to the law enforcement bodies, 545 - to judicial reviewers and officers of the court, 66 - to economic and 222 - to regional courts.
Fines totaling AZN 121,421,490 were imposed against juridical and physical persons on 2,034 law breach cases. AZN 76,510,980 has been paid off. Fines totaling AZN 1,145,667,180 were imposed on 112 environment damage cases. AZN 222,060,300 has been paid off.
Measures have been taken against 33 cases out of the 112 sent to law enforcement bodies, 166 out of 288 sent to the courts and 143 out of 545 sent to judicial reviewers and officers of the court. Resources in the amount of AZN 457,644 were transferred to the Environment Protection Fund during the accounting period.
