Z.Safarov / The Sport Museum and Olympic movement should become not only a place for demonstration of our sporting history, but a place that can help us develop the Olympic games in Azerbaijan, Chingiz Huseynzadeh, the Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee, stated to Trend touching upon the decree by Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani President, to establish the Museum in Baku.
"The International Olympic Committee holds consultations and conferences at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. The Museum is engaged in the development of literature dedicated to the Olympic Games, popularization and advertising in countries, as well as staging different workshops. We also want all meetings and press-conferences to be held in the Museum. The Museum will become a science and cultural centre of the Azerbaijani sporting world," Huseynzadeh said.
