Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 January / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / Arif Aslanov, the condemned for impingement on Zakir Farajov, the head of the Azerbaijani Absheron Executive Power, died in the hospital from kidney failure.

Aslanov was sentenced to 11years and 3 months imprisonment, after the decision of the Court on Hard Crimes.

The Central Penal Service Department reported to Trend that Aslanov suffered from kidney failure. He was transported to the medical centre, due to his unhealthy state. Aslanov had been taken to the Central Neftanik Hospital three times a week, due to the lack of necessary conditions in the hospital.

Isakhan Ashurov, Aslanov's attorney, stated to trend, that court was to blame for Aslanov's death.

The attorney said that earlier he had appealed to the European Court concerning the issue; but, he has not launched a communication with the Azerbaijani Government. The appeal envisages the violation of Aslanov's rights on life, protected by the Convention.
