Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 January / Trend corr. J.Babayeva / Most (90%) of the complaints made to the Azerbaijani Education Ministry's hot line were due to heating problems in the schools.
"The majority of the 28 calls to the schools were connected with the inclement weather conditions in the country," Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, stated on 30 January.
About 16% out of 330 higher schools of Baku have been heated this winter according to internal monitoring by the Ministry. The heating systems for over 250 schools within the country need major repairs. The old heating systems and debt for utilized gas and energy have become the main problems.
