"In March the relatively moderate days will be replaced by rainy ones as a result of the cold streams. The precipitation will be replaced by sleet and snow in the mountainous areas and foothills," Umayra Tagiyeva, the deputy director of the National Hydro Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan said to Trend on 29 February.
The average temperature is expected to be a little higher than normal during the month.
The temperature will drop during certain days and frosts will be observed especially in mountainous areas and foothills. The strong north and west wind will be frequent in the Absheron peninsular. The weather is expected to be unstable in the middle of the first decade of the month, she said.
The average monthly temperature will be 6 to 8 degrees in Absheron peninsular. The precipitations are expected to be near normal.
