Second Credit Agreement between World Bank and Education Ministry of Azerbaijan Devised

Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 March / corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ The second credit agreement between Azerbaijan and the World Bank worth of $25mln has already been developed. Misir Mardanov, the education minister of Azerbaijan said in Baku on 7 March.

In the past 8 years, the World Bank has allocated some $22mln for the education reforms in Azerbaijan.

According to the minister, the second agreement includes some of the items of the first agreement and envisages the development of the national program for pre-school institutions and the training of teachers.

The Education Ministry held the last meeting on the agreement and all details of the second agreement were developed. "The Bank plans to grant soft credit to Azerbaijan. The agreement will be signed once the share of the Azerbaijani government is determined," the Minister said.
