Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 March / Trend corr J. Babayeva/ The State Commission for Student Admission of Azerbaijan announced opening of the application period 2008 for the institutes and colleges in the country, the Chair of the State Commission Maleyka Abbaszade said to journalists on 30 March.
According to Abbaszade, the applications must be submitted through internet. The applicants must buy a payment card costing AZN 2 at the post offices of the cities and towns of Azerbaijan and fill the application form between 31 March and 31 May. Then, between 11 April and 31 May the necessary documents must be submitted to the commissions for confirmation of the electronic applications.
After the points are publicized, the applicants will be able to choose a specialty in the list which will be placed on the web site of the State Commission.
"The applicants for the 1st and 4th specialty groups must collect at least 250 points, the applicants for other specialty groups must collect at least 300 points," she said.
The days of the entrance examinations will be announced on 31 May.
