Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 April / corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ The delegation from Azerbaijan including Yagub Eyyubov- Vice-Premier of Azerbaijan, Azad Rahimov- minister of youth and sport, Chingiz Huseynzade- President of National Olympic Committee and Ilham Madatov- Head of International Relations Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, will take part in the 16th General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee, the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan reported.
The representatives of the countries, claiming to host the Summer Olympic Games 2016, will also take part in the Assembly.
On 15 Jan, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) completed the admission of applications for hosting 2016 Olympic Games. Baku ( Azerbaijan), Doha ( Qatar), Madrid ( Spain), Prague (Czechia), Rio-de Janeiro ( Brazil), Chicago ( US) and Tokyo ( Japan) have claimed to host the Olympic games. The winner will be announced on 9 Oct 2009 in Copenhagen.
