Azerbaijan, Ganja, 5 April / corr. Trend V. Mammadov/ Certain zones must be allocated in Goy-Gol National Park to establish tourist infrastructure without damaging its flora and fauna, said Huseyngulu Bagirov, the minister of ecology and natural resources of Azerbaijan who is in Ganja at present.
The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev decreed on 1 April to establish Goy-Gol as a national park. The Minister visited Goy-Gol on 4 April the territory of which was extended by 2.5 times. The area of state reserve Goy-Gol was extended from 6,000 739 ha up to 12,000 755 ha after it was rewarded the status of National Park.
The national park is located 400 km west of Baku.
