Fundamental Reforms to be Held to Improve Level of Referees in Azerbaijan: New Chairman of AFFA Committee of Referees
Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 April /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / The newly appointed chairman of the Committee of Referees of Azerbaijan Federation of Football Associations (AFFA) will hold fundamental reforms with regards to refereeing. "The level of the referees who govern the Football Prime-League of Azerbaijan is low," the Chairman of AFFA Committee of Referees, Khagani Mammadov, reported to Trend on 15 April.
According to the order of AFFA President, Rovnak Abdullayev, on 14 April Khagani Mammadov was appointed the Chairman of AFFA Committee of Referees.
Since summer 2007 this occupation had been held by Murad Mammadov, who was referee of AFFA in 1989-2006.
According to Mammadov, fundamental reforms will be held to improve the level of referees. Additionally, he said that foreign specialists will be invited to improve the qualification of the referees.
