Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 April / Trend corr. E.Huseynli / The Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has reported illegal construction work being carried out within a landslide zone area in Baku, the Ministry reported Trend on 24 April.
The Bayilov slope in the Sabayil District of Baku has been recognized as a landslide area and as a result construction work was prohibited in the area due to the displacement of underground water last ten years ago.
According to information released by the Ministry, as a result of checks held, it was revealed that 110 sq m area was fenced on the Neftanikov, 57 in preparation for a substation of Bakuelectricshabaka OJSC to be built.
The Ministry has submitted the relevant documents to the Baku Executive Power and Sabayil District regarding the prohibition of any construction work in the area.
