K.Zarbaliyeva / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has postponed, for an indefinite period, the demolishing date of the houses which were illegally built on the territory of the fourth field in the Sabunchi District of Baku, Teymur Karimov, the owner of one of the houses to be demolished, stated to Trend on 25 April.
The Sabunchi District Court made the decision to demolish 25 houses on the territory of the field on the basis of a lawsuit by the Oil and Gas Producing Department -Balakhanineft. The owners of the apartments have been informed of their plans.
A geological investigation will be held in the area soon after the apartments have been demolished. The apartments, built are 100 km away from the oil production territory and located near drilling equipment will be demolished.
No compensations will be paid to owners of illegally built apartments.
