Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April / Trend corr S. Ilhamgizi/ OSCE Baku Office has called upon the media organizations in Azerbaijan to cooperate during the upcoming presidential elections in the country, Jose Luis Herrero, Ambassador of OSCE Baku Office, said in a workshop of press representatives on 25 April.
On 15 Oct 2008, presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan.
Herrero said that press will be responsible for democratic elections. According to him, during the elections journalists must disseminate precise, professional, unprejudiced information and must avoid one-sided propaganda.
"Population must make their choice themselves," Herrero said.
He said that the upcoming presidential elections are of great importance, both for the internal as well as foreign policy of Azerbaijan.
