Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April /corr. Trend G.Jabiyev / New regional TV channels will be opened in Azerbaijan. "There are not local TV channels in Shemaha, Shirvan, Aran zones and Neftchala, Jalilabad and Karabajkh regions, and therefore, we will open them," said the Chairman of Azerbaijan National Television and Radio Council, Nushiravan Maherremli.
Currently 11 regional televisions function in Azerbaijan. Maherremli said that currently the agenda does not include opening a television all over the country.
"Seven such television function in the country. I consider that it is large number for Azerbaijan," Maherremli said.
According to him, currently it is more urgent to open regional televisions. "In future, we will be trying to open televisions mainly in the regions because there are not regional televisions in the regions of Azerbaijan," he added.
