Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 April / corr. Trend R. Ergun/ The beach football team of Azerbaijan will be headed by the Brazilian trainer. "The trainer, Gustavo Enrique Silva, will arrive in Baku on 1 May evening. Unfortunately, there are neither good trainers nor good beach football players in Azerbaijan," Jeyhun Khalilbayli, the Secretary General of Beach Football Federation of Azerbaijan said to Trend on 30 April.
Previously, 31-year-old Brazilian trainer had headed the team of Russia, Portugal, Brazil and Bahrain. He will replace Bahram Hatamov on this post. On his part, Hatamov will work as an assistant to Silva.
According to Khalilbayli, the Brazilian trainer will train youth for the formation of a strong Azerbaijani team. "Our key goal is to strengthen the team with the help of young players. It is possible that it if we do not have enough strong players, we can invite players from Brazil," he said.
On 9 May, the beach football Azerbaijani team will take part in a competition in Spain. The Azerbaijani team will play against the team of Italy on 11May, Norway -12 May and Greece - on 13May.
