Ministers of Ecology of Economic Cooperation Organization Country-Members to Meet in Islamabad

Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 May / Trend corr.J.Babayeva / The next 4th meeting of the Ministers of Ecology of the Economic Cooperation Organization country-members will be held in Islamabad, on the initiative taken up by Pakistan, on 19 and 20 November. This was stated by Arif Iskandarov, Senior Advisor of the Policy, Ecology and Nature Protection Department of the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, to journalists in the fifth meeting of the Task group on the environment protection.

According to Iskandarov, the fifth meeting of the Task Group in Baku carries a preparatory character.

"The proposals of the Task Group would be submitted to the Economic Cooperation Organization country-members for consideration," Iskandarov said.

Economic Cooperation Organization was established in 1985. The aim of the organization activities is to provide socio-economic development to the organization member-countries. The organization unites Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
