Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 June / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / The Judicial Council (JC) has launched a disciplinary action against the judges. This decision was made in the latest meeting of JC.
The names of judges have not been announced yet. The disciplinary actions against judges have been taken due to certain volitions and inability of these judges to give justice to the rights of citizens.
Fikrat Mammadov, JC Chairman and Minister of Justice, stated that the complex measures have been taken to improve administration of justice, as well as to train fair judges. The judge, who violates bills, will be dismissed from the justice system. As a result of the check, about thirty judges have been dismissed from their positions, and a disciplinary action has been taken against approximately fifty judges.
Under the President order, the justice staff was extended by 50% in 2007 to improve the justice quality.
The proposal to appoint judges to the Supreme and Appeal Courts was proposed in the meeting.
