The UEFA Disciplinary Committee on Saturday fined the
Croatian football federation (HNS) 20,000 Swiss francs (19,570) dollars because
of a racist banner displayed by its fans during Croatia's quarter-final match
against Turkey.
UEFA spokesperson Robert Faulkner confirmed to Deutsche Presse- Agentur dpa
that the HNS now had three days to appeal the decision.
Croatia also had to pay 8,000 Swiss francs following the group
game against Austria when their fans set off flares, dpa reported.
