Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 July / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / The Azerbaijani national hero, Rasim Akparov's condition is very serious. Elchin Behbudov, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Anti Torture Committee, met with Akparov in the Prison 1 on 1 July. Behbudov told Trend that Akparov suffers from liver, kidney and heart ache.
Behbudov will appeal to the President to release Akparov from imprisonment.
Akparov was accused with parricide and has been imprisoned for nine years.
Akparov's name had been included into the list of political prisoners, which was developed by the PACE. The Organization demands from the Azerbaijani Government to release former serviceman from imprisonment.
