Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 July / Trend corr K.Zarbaliyeva/ A teacher charged for fraud has been arrested.
Baku Appeal Court held a hearing on prosecutor's appeal regarding a primary education teacher of School- 162 in the Sabail District in Baku Rashida Aliyeva and her husband Ilgar Sultanov, who are charged for fraud.
By the verdict of the Court on Hard Crimes, Sultanov, who is charged for contravening Article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code, was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment, while Aliyeva was sentenced to 3 years of suspended sentence.
The couple is charged for misappropriation of money of 17 people and causing the people a damage of $500,000.
Prosecutor protested against the verdict made by the first instance and urged to imprison the teacher.
Baku Appeal Court sentenced Aliyeva to 4 years of imprisonment. She was arrested in the court.
