Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 August / Trend / J.Babayeva / Prospects of religious cooperation will be discussed between Azerbaijani and Iran in Tehran. For this purpose, Hidayet Orujov, the chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee on Religious Organizations (SCRO), visited Iran on 6 August. This visit will focus on familiarization with existing religious institutions, joint discussion of historical and religious relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and expansion of mutual co-operation in religion, the SCRO told Trend on 6 August.
Meetings will be held with the state and government officials, heads of non-government organizations, culture and scientific figures and public representatives within the framework of Orujov's visit to Iran.
It is planned to hold meetings with the Azerbaijani students of the Iranian Jamiatu al-Mustafa al-alamiyye Scientific Institution, leadership and teachers of the Mofid and Razavi Universities during this visit.
