Football Specialists Satisfied with Azerbaijani National Team’s Defense Line in Match with   Wales

Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 September / Trend News corr. R.Ergun / Former coaches of the Azerbaijani National football team were satisfied with defense line of the team in the match with the Wales National team within the framework of qualification stage of the World Championship 2010.

"The National team contested till the end at the match with Wales. Defense line of the team distinguished with confident performance. Kamran Agayev, a goalkeeper performed confidently in this match and his performance deserves good words," Shahin Diniyev, the former coach of the National team told Trend on 8 September.

The Azerbaijani-Wales match finished with Wales's victory with the score of 1:0 on 6 September. A referee turned out Fabio Luis Ramim, a halfback of the Azerbaijani National team of the playground.

According to Diniyev, halfbacks and attack line of the Azerbaijani team did not produce good impressions.

"Halfbacks performing weakly surprised me very much. The Azerbaijani team faced with difficulties to organize attack. Our team should not perform so in a match with Liechtenstein," Diniyev said.

The Azerbaijani National team will meet with the Liechtenstein team in Baku on 10 September within the framework of the qualification stage of the World Championship 2010. The match will begin at Tofig Bahramov stadium at 09.00PM.

Vagif Sadigov, who was a coach of the Azerbaijani National football team for four times, said that defense line of the team produced good impressions.

"I was satisfied with our defensemen in the match with Wales. It is true that we miss one goal in every match. However, our mission less goals shows that our team defense well. At present, the main thing is to perform efficient attack and score a goal."

The Azerbaijani National team contest at the fourth group together with Germany, Russia, Wales, Finland and Lichtenstein at the qualification stage of the World Championship 2010.
