Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 October / Trend corr. A.Gasimova/ The body of an outstanding singer, the USSR people's artist Muslum Magomayev was brought to Baku. Acting Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Aandiyev, Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov and leading cultural figures received the coffin in the airport. The farewell ceremony to the great crooner took place in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow On 28 October. Then the coffin with the body was delivered to Baku. On 29 October, the farewell ceremony will be continued in the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall. The Soviet variety king will be buried in the Honorary Cemetery in Baku.
Muslum Magomayev, 67, died in the early morning of 25 October by stopping the heart. In recent years, he suffered heart failure.
