Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 Dec / Trend corr I. Alizade/ Strategy of development of science in Azerbaijan has been worked out and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers, Mahmoud Karimov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA), said to reporters.
"Members of the commission will express their opinion on strategy and it will be approved soon," Karimov said.
A program for 2009-2015 to determine implementation mechanism of the document is under development. The program will reflect work to be done in all fields of science and determine measures related to financing science and international relations.
Karimov said regulations and mechanism have been designed to set up Science Fund and has been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers. The Fund will begin after regulations are approved. The Science Fund aims at financing projects on development of science.
"The best projects will be selected and financed by the Fund," Karimov added.
