Preparation of the last variant of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Charter is under completion.
The last variant includes additions and changes suggested by scientists and corresponding organizations at the meeting of the World Azerbaijanis Coordination Council on Dec. 18, 2008, the State Committee dealing with diaspora said on Feb. 4.
The World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Charter was first adopted at the meeting of the World Azerbaijanis Coordination Council in December 2008. The document was prepared by the State Committee dealing with diaspora. Roughly 20 scientists were involved in preparation of the document.
The Charter's aim is to unite world Azerbaijanis, to prepare united conception based on Azerbaijani ideology and reflecting historical tasks of Azerbaijani diaspora, etc.
The document will determine mechanisms and principles to ensure Azerbaijanis' rights living abroad.
Moreover, the Charter's aim is to eliminate problems regarding Azerbaijanis' integration, to increase their activity and to preserve national values.
Round Table with participation of scientists, intelligentsia and media will be organized in Baku to discuss and to present concrete aims and tasks of the Charter to community. After the last specifications, the document will be published and given to heads and activists of diaspora organizations who will participate in the third Congress of European Azerbaijanis.
A conference on The World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Charter as a base of a new level in history of Azerbaijani diaspora will be held under mutual cooperation between the Congress of European Azerbaijanis and the Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress in Holland, the message says.
