Gymnasts' individual performances began in the European Championship on Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku. Evgenia Kanaeva ranks first with 28.850 points after three gymnasts' performance with rope followed by Vera Sesina with 28.150 points and Ukrainian Gymnast Anna Bessonova with 27.625 points.
Aliya Garayev gained 26.150 points.
Azerbaijan ranked second in the European Championship on Rhythmic Gymnastics amongst juniors, Trend correspondent reported. The Russian gymnasts ranked first and Belarusian sportswomen - third.
The 25th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship 2009 started in Baku on May 15. The competition was organized the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan. The competition was attended by 186 gymnasts from 32
