From the next season, the captain of the Azerbaijan national football team can continue his careers in one of the local clubs.
"If I cannot visit to Turkey, I will continue my career in Azerbaijan," Captain of the National Squad Rashad Sadigov who played for the Turkish Kocaelispor club last season, told Trend on June 23.
Sadigov spent the second half of the 2008-2009 seasons in the Turkish club.
The 27-year-old captain played most of matches for the Neftchi Baku club.
Sadigov said two or three clubs of the Turkish Super League are interested in him.
"But the issue has not yet reached the stage of signing the contract. Managers are holding the negotiations. If a version with Turkey fails, I will have to sign a contract with one of the Azerbaijani clubs," the captain of the national team said.
He said if any Turkish club invites him for examinations, he will not agree to this: "I do not want to go to examinations in any team. I have already played in Turkey and I was there more or less known, so I want to sign a contract immediately."
