Trial starts on Iranian citizens smuggling drugs to Azerbaijan

The trial started over Iranian citizens, who smuggled drugs in large volumes to Azerbaijan.

On February 24, 2009 Seidzade Mirhashim Mirmahmud and Talesmas Khaddanhassar Abbasli were detained by employees of the General Criminal Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan while they tried to sell 4.5 kilograms of heroin imported from Iran, a source at Court on Heinous Crimes told Trend on July 9.  

At today's process the accused recognized their guilt.

They said that they brought heroin to Azerbaijan for sale.

The process is continuing.
